Must a water kettle look as a machine? Can it approach the coffee break in expression and form? Can product design become warmer? In my bachelor examination project I've searched for an alternative product design expression through analyzing a friendl trend within graphic design. I found five value words which I've used as guidelines: simplicity in form and function, storytelling, design with a "twist", playfulness and non technical.

Those dolls are a mix between interior design object and toy. I thought of designing an alternative when you want to buy a gift to kids of friends or family and rather don't want to go for the classic plastic toy. The dolls are made in a North Indian craft and consists of textile materials and painted mango wood.

With the will to make a small caravan we decided to let the interior functions rule the exterior shape. Something that brings the thought of functionalism architecture. This makes a clear shape langugage with round room for sitting and rectangular extension for sleeping loft.

There’s no surveillance camera on the market that is designed to really look good in a designed room. The target groups for such a product are more than one. The guarding company is engaged by the building commissioner who has also an architect office involved for the room and building quality. What kind of camera would the architect choose for the best room quality? By interviewing architects, the guarding company and the public I made a an anlysis and a surveillance camera for this purpose. Bosch Vita is an imaginary brand of a new design line from Bosch.

Do you find the buttons on products you use everyday without looking? I wanted to bring this ability further. In this DVD player all of the buttons are connected as a river delta and you don’t have to be able to see to find your way to the right buttons.

After a glamorous night out follows a less glamorous walk home for many women. The thoughts passing through your mind passing dark alleys aren’t fun. Here we’re talking attack and raping. This is a concept where I together with marketing and engineer students brainstormed ideas for increasing the awareness about the need for recycling. Our theory was that it must become as natural for kids in kindergarten learning how to ride a bike as learning how to recycle.The concept Retura Friends consists of eight friends which all have their favorite kind of recycling material. For an example: The Paper Frog, who only eats paper. When the kids visits the recycling station the sense is that they should recognize the characters on the recycling barrels. One day I found a big black bag filled with old circuit cards. The next thing I knew I started creating amazing accessories that embodies my love for electro music, minimalist fashion and quirky things. Segtnan Electronics was born. Granny's pearls from the 50's are juxtaposed with chips from an old Mac circa '84. An old industrial robot's steering card becomes a fabulous broach to wear on a Saturday night on the town. Old and forgotten secrets codes to wear around your neck as your favourite piece of jewelry. Long lost computer games becoming earrings to love and treasure.
